Lucky 8PE (“we”, “us”) operates lucky8pe.com and our associated messaging channels (email, WhatsApp, Instagram). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is used and protected.

Information we collect

Waitlist signups: your email address, and your submission timestamp. Site analytics: basic, anonymised page-view data (pages visited, referrer, approximate region) to understand interest ahead of launch. Messaging: if you contact us via WhatsApp, Instagram, or email, we receive the content of that conversation so we can reply to you.

How we use it

To notify you about the Lucky 8PE launch and the Vault drop, to respond to messages you send us, and to understand demand ahead of the drop. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Messaging channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, Email)

If you message us on WhatsApp or Instagram, that conversation is processed to let our team (and our internal assistant) respond to you. We only use this to communicate with you directly — never for unsolicited marketing outside what you’ve opted into.

The Lucky 8PE registry

Every Lucky 8PE piece carries a tag. When you tap it and register the piece, we keep your name, your email address, your password (stored scrambled, so nobody can read it, including us), which pieces you own and since when, and a private serial for each piece you own. We also record each tap of a tag: the time and whether the tag’s check passed, with no personal details.

We use this to prove a piece is genuine, to show who owns it, to pass ownership safely to a new owner, and to check any prize claim. We do this because you asked us to register your piece (our agreement with you) and because we have a legitimate interest in stopping fakes and fraud.

We email you a code when you sign up or when a piece is sold to you, a link if you reset your password, and a note when a piece you own is registered or passes to a new owner. These emails are part of the registry, not marketing.

Your account details are kept while you have an account. A piece’s ownership history is kept for as long as the piece exists, because it is what proves the piece is genuine. If you delete your account, your name and email are removed from that history.

You must be 13 or older to register a piece. Prize claims are open to people aged 18 or over.

Data retention

We keep waitlist and conversation data only as long as needed to run the business and respond to you, or until you ask us to delete it.

Who handles data for us

Supabase (our database, stored in London), Vercel (runs our website and registry) and Resend (sends our emails). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; when they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing hello@lucky8pe.com. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
